01What it is
Self-custody, taken literally.
Argentum Wallet generates a standard BIP-39 recovery phrase on your device and derives the addresses for eight networks from it. The phrase and the private keys are sealed by your phone's own hardware — Android Keystore, or the Secure Enclave and Keychain on iOS — and released only after you unlock with biometrics or your device passcode. They are never transmitted, never written unencrypted, never logged. There is no copy at Argentum, which is also why there is no one to ask if you lose them.
Hold, receive, track
Balances and transaction history read straight off each chain, grouped by network with a subtotal, valued in US dollars. Sending is in the Android build; the first iOS release is read-only and sending follows.
No account to create
No sign-up, no login, no email, no profile. The wallet works the moment the phrase exists, and it works with no connection to any Argentum service at all.

03What it never does
Three things this wallet
will not do — by decision,
not by omission.
Each of these would make Argentum an intermediary holding or moving other people's money. They are not on a roadmap and they are not behind a flag.
It does not hold your funds
No custody of any kind: no server-side backup of your phrase, no shared-key or MPC scheme, no hosted recovery. Argentum cannot move, freeze or restore anyone's funds, because it has nothing to move them with.
It does not sell crypto
No card purchases, no on-ramp, no fiat rails. If you want crypto in the wallet, it arrives from somewhere else and you receive it.
It does not exchange one coin for another
No swaps, no in-app trading, no order book, no routing to a decentralised exchange.
04Privacy
What we can see is
bounded by what we
never receive.
On Solana and the five EVM chains, the wallet asks for your balances through an Argentum service, so that a node provider gets our address rather than yours. That service does see which address is being asked about — there is no way to fetch a balance without seeing whose balance it is — and it keeps none of it: no address, no IP, no timestamp per request, nothing written to any database or file. On Tron and the XRP Ledger there is no service in the middle, and your phone asks a public node directly, so that node's operator sees the address and your IP; the same happens on any network for as long as our service is unreachable. Three things this does not promise: the node operator sees the address anyway, sometimes with your IP attached, and your address and your transactions are public on the chain regardless. If you prefer, point any network at your own node and Argentum sees nothing for that network at all — the policy says exactly which path applies when.
No identities
No accounts, no logins, no advertising identifiers, no analytics of what you do in the app. Nothing links an address to a person, because there is no person on file.
Dollar values without your balances
To price your holdings the app sends only which assets exist, never how much of them. The multiplication happens on your phone.
Error reports are off
Crash reporting ships disabled. It only ever runs if you turn it on, and it carries no screenshots, no view hierarchy and no session recording.
05MAX's account
A spending account for an agent —
with a ceiling you set.
Argentum Wallet carries an agent account: a separate account inside the wallet that a software agent can spend from without a person approving each payment. It behaves like a prepaid card — what you move into it is the ceiling of what a mistake, or a compromise, can cost. A second and independent daily limit sits on top of the balance, both are checked before anything is signed, one switch turns automatic payments off, and the signing key can be destroyed outright. It pays over Solana, over EVM chains and over the XRP Ledger. Its key reaches nothing else in the wallet, and it cannot trade assets of any kind.
The agent is MAX, the executor in Argentum AI , where it arrives after launch. What it pays for is services: an API answering a request, priced per call over the x402 protocol. That account does not trade, and it cannot reach the rest of what you hold — it is the whole of what MAX can spend. How a service on the other end charges an agent is the collecting side of the same protocol, and that is research, written up on its own page.
Two caps, checked before signing
The balance of the account and a daily limit on top. A payment that would breach either is never signed, so a compromised agent can at most spend what you put there.
Three brakes
Switch automatic payments off, empty the account back to one of yours (on Solana today), or destroy the signing key outright. Emptying it needs your biometric.
Sealed off
The key signs x402 payments — and the emptying you co-sign — and nothing else. It cannot reach your other accounts, and no wallet-connect session ever sees it.
Like the rest of the wallet, this is in development and not published. The account exists in the Android build; the iOS app does not carry it yet. And how a request gets from MAX in the app to this account is not built yet either — today the account can be funded, capped and emptied, and nothing asks it to pay.
06Status
In development.
Argentum Wallet is not published in any app store yet, and this page is not a download. When it ships it will be on the App Store and on Google Play; on your phone the app appears as Ag Wallet.
